Nintendo is bringing the original Game Boy versions of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow to the 3DS. Long before inflation drove Pokemon to Diamons and Pearls there were just the original primary colors. The re-released retro gaming classics will not be remakes or even remasters, but more or less the original 1990’s game. However they will have modern “online” functionality that will allow you to trade with others without needing that Game Boy Link your probably lost or broke.
The nostalgia trip will be arriving soon, February 27th, and in another modern twist you’ll be able to purchase Pokemon through the 3DS Virtual Console.
So if all the new modern full color titles that have been release this fall don’t excite you get ready for grind again to complete your Pokédex, although train should be much easier.
