Square Enix has confirmed that the Hitman beta on PlayStation will begin February 12, and February 19 for PC. Here is the Hitman trailer from PlayStation Experience:

Square Enix will be sharing a new trailer for its upcoming Hitman videogame this Saturday, December 5. A tweet from the official Hitman Twitter account says it will be a beta trailer. Does a beta trailer have footage of beta game play? Or because its a “trailer” it will play more like a cut scene / tv spot?

This weekend is the start of Sony’s PlayStation Experience so it is possible the Hitman trailer will be part of a larger keynote address. A beta must be coming soon as the game is set to launch on March 11th. The single player action-adventure beta will be available for PlayStation 4 and PC but the Hitman beta will not be available on Xbox One. Which leads up back to the PSX timing being no conscience.

Last year about this time IO Interactive released some details on the next game. It stated their intention to make the next version of Hitman less linear, with more open-ended maps – removing the previous concept of checkpoints. The game was originally slated to launch in 2015, but was later delayed so that IO could add more content.

Hitman will be published by Square Enix for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 11, 2016. It will be the sixth entry in the Hitman video game series and follows the Hitman: Agent 47 feature film released this summer.
