Incorporated is the new Syfy TV series with the largest media backing this year, it comes from executive producers Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The sci-fi thriller is set in a near future where many great sci-fi stories live these days. In this version of our destiny, large corporations have unlimited power, well 90% according to the open credits,  and we all know absolute power corrupts absolutely. Meet Ben Larson (played by Sean Teale “Reign”), a young inspired executive who conceals his true identity to infiltrate a very dangerous corporate world to save someone he loves.  But he is spinning a very complicated web of lies as he tries to right a wrong, and he’ll soon learn that he’s not the only one whose secrets may have deadly consequence.

We got to watch the premiere of Syfy’s Incorporated last night in the Indigo room at Comic Con and it’s got my excited for the new series.  I’ll have a full review san-spoilers soon, here is some background on the series slated to premiere this fall.

The fast paced show quickly sets up several conflicts in the stark contrasting worlds where the haves play, and the poor literally fight over cigarettes. Channeling the 1993 film The Firm and Gattaca poor Ben is left to manipulate many layers of security both inside the “safe” Green Zone and the equally dangerous Red Zone – each with it’s own form of justice. The series landed a 13-episode order, which is slated to premiere this fall.
