Comic-Con Attendee Preregistration will henceforth now be known as Comic-Con Returning Registration. While the name might be new the process seems to be little changed from previous years, with one notable difference.  Because of the new RFID badges you will not need to validate your Comic-Con 2016 badge number to participate. Comic-Con Returning Registration is open to all Comic-Con 2016 paid attendees. First-time attendees, professionals, exhibitors, volunteers, staff, complimentary passes, and press are not eligible to participate in this registration event.

Timing for Comic-Con 2017 Preregistration, sorry returning registration, will be sometime in early 2017. Significantly later than last year which happened on Nov 7th. As it was before you can buy badges for up to three people – yourself included – during Cheerio selection process. Each person must have their own Comic-Con Member ID and must be eligible to participate in Returning Registration.

If this is your first time attempting to get SDCC badges your chance will follow this event. To participate in what is called Open Registration, you must have a valid and confirmed Comic-Con Member ID. If you want to hear about your chances for attending the con we have a break down for you. We anticipate that Open Registration will occur shortly after Returning Registration is complete in early 2017.

You can find the official blog of Comic-Con and WonderCon here at the Toucan. We also suggest you check out the Unofficial San Diego Comic Con Blog for awesome coverage of the event.
