NetherRealm has quietly announced that its highly anticipated DC character fighting game, Injustice 2, will be having a closed online beta. The beta will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but apparently not Windows PC. NetherRealm is now accepting registrations on the Injustice website. While this is a closed beta, meaning you will need to register, it does not appear to be a limited participation beta. After signing up we got a pleasant confirmation message saying “You’re now registered to receive your Beta code for INJUSTICE 2.” I’m going to take that as a good sign. Let us know if you get a different message, but for now it looks like registration = in.

The Injustice 2 beta seems to be limited to players in North America, and no date was given for the event. We expect to hear more of NetherRealm plans as they reveal at least one new character for Injustice 2 next week Tuesday @ 2:00 CST.

Injustice 2 will offer up the biggest DC roster ever in a fighting game and include new character such as Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd and Deadshot. The chaos arrives for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16th.
